Keeping track of topics

Use the links at the top of the site, 'Your posts', 'New posts', 'Unread posts', 'Unanswered topics', 'Active topics', to keep track of activity on the forums.

To mark the entire forums as read, click on 'Mark forums read' on the index. To mark only a specific forum or subforum as read, click 'Mark topics read' while in the respective forum.

Bookmarking and subscribing

To bookmark a topic, or to subscribe to a topic or forum, use the menus below the respective topic's or forum's subject:

Bookmarking topics is a good way to save topics for future reference, and may be an additional method to keep track of topics you'd like to comment on later.

Subscribing to topics, subforums or forums is particularly useful when you don't frequent the forums or certain parts of it regularly, but would like to be notified regarding any activity that takes place (e.g. new posts in your own plugs, new topics in the Announcements forum).

Bookmarked and subscribed topics/forums show up in your User Control Panel under Manage bookmarks and Manage subscriptions. You can remove bookmarks and subscriptions individually when viewing the respective topic or forum, or you can mass-remove them in the UCP. Notification settings for both bookmarks and subscriptions can be changed under Edit notification options. You can set whether you get a forum notification or an email - or both - when there are new posts or topics.

Any time you make a post on the forums, you also have the option to mark the checkbox 'Notify me when a reply is posted' below the full editor.
